Brief Info

This is King James I. He was king during the Jacobean era. Jacob is a Hebrew word and thus derives the name James. He was executed by Parliment on 30 th January 1649 for treason after closing parliment for seven years as they wanted more say in the monarchys decisions and a yearly grant of £200,000 which the king refused. Finally most people turned against him and he was executed.
